Note: This post is not to underestimate or undermine anybody or anything. This is just about something that is bothering me. Feel free to to contradict. If I find your argument agreeable, I am game to change my ideas.
It should always be Matha, Pitha, Guru, Deivam. What happens when it becomes Matha, Pitha Vs. Guru?!
When there are so many burning issues in the country, I am really not sure how important or essential it is to install a statue and the PM coming down to inaugurate it. Let me even keep this aside as a personal choice of individuals.
The primary thing that has been bothering me is the young men and women being converted to sanyasis. Is it not possible for human beings to be in gruhastha dharma and still work for the human upliftment both worldly and spiritually? Even the great Adi Shankara had to seek his mother's permission to take sanyasa and did so only after His mother accepted. However, in this case, I hear of men and women claiming that they are 18+ years old and can decide on their own. Whether you are 18+ or 80+ - don't you owe to your parents to whom you are the sole reason of life? There may be an argument that we need sanyasis to reinstate dharma and lead to spiritual upliftment of the country. This is all said well until such a thing happens in our very home! I strongly believe this should happen with the acceptance and blessings of the parents without which it is as good as nothing!!
People who know me - You know I am spiritual myself and follow the Guru marga. I am not against any Gurus. But, I am worried about the corporate culture here! My Guru Yogi Ramsuratkumar lived all His life as a beggar on the streets and never did He have any wealth attached to Him. So was Maha Periyava and Ramana Maharishi. Yogi advised people to do whatever they did as a yagnya. If you are a gruhastha, perform your gruhasthashrama properly. If you are a student, studies is your yoga. He never advised anyone to renoucne the world. Yet, there are zillions of His devotees out there who perform their duties and still contribute spiritually. Coming from such a background, I am totally shocked by this corporate culture.
May the divine descend and show us the true bhakthi marga!
